When I switch over to four wheel drive, the light comes on in low but not in high. When I am in high it makes a loud clunking noise almost like it is trying to get into gear but cannot or is slipping. It never did this in low at first but now it is starting to as well. I have changed all the fluids in the truck.

Hello,

It sounds like you have a transfer case mode actuator that is out. Here is a guide that will help you remove and replace it.

You may need to jack the car up first.

Please let us know what happens, we are interested to see what it is.

Cheers, Ken
