I was driving my vehicle listed above the other day and it made a clunk clunk noise and at the same time felt like the vehicle was going to cut off but didn't and slowed down at the same time. It acted like it didn't want to accelerate and the oil light came on. I managed to get to home which was right down the road not even a mile. I checked the oil since the oil light came on and it was low. I got oil and put oil in the vehicle. Drove it to see if that helped and it did it again. I noticed around about five miles it would do it.

Let's start with codes.

If the oil light is coming on, that is just because the oil pressure is dropping. This could be due to exceptionally low RPM's or a greater issue.

If you can't pull codes then just run by a parts store and they should be able to pull it free of charge. I imagine we will have some codes but if not, we can do more investigation. However, if we have a code it will cut this down considerably and we can get right into testing and following the diagram for that code.

Let me know if you have questions.

Okay. Can you get a video of what this is doing? Just get a video of the dash as you are driving and then narrate when it does the issue just in case we can't hear it. Seeing it will give us a better idea as to what the issue could be.
