I'm still working on lots of other stuff on this car right now, but I have a problem that started. My digital clock used to work just fine, but now it doesn't want to. When i'm driving it comes back on and then cuts out again. This morning I disconnected the battery because I was doing some work and when I reconnected it the clock was working for a few minutes and then turned off again. The radio still powers on.

Unfortunately this is not uncommon for these older vehicles. There is a capacitor in the radio that begins to fail and when it does the clock display no longer works. I assume that whenever the clock does work the time is accurate? So it goes off and comes back with the accurate time? This shows that it is just the display inside the radio is failing but the memory within the clock is still working.

I attached the info because I suspect you will have to replace the radio to correct this. Let me know if you have questions. Thanks
