I have the vehicle listed above Multispace 2 Liter Desire. I have had my car clock replaced and now the milage has changed by 20,000 miles more than before clock replacement. I had the original clock returned to my car, but nothing happened. So, I am at a total loss on what possibly has happened and is it an easy fix or major? I am just about to mot my car so I need to know what's the legal and lawful stance on this and mot failure or not on this. I just want my car fixed.

Yours,

Sharon

Hi Sharon, it sounds like you had an electrical surge when the repair was done, it is rare, but it happens. Unfortunately, there is not much you can do except for getting a new cluster with the mileage adjusted to the correct amount before the repair began. There are many websites that can get you a remanufactured instrument cluster. As far as the MOT I don't know if there will be a penalty or not you will need to talk to the person doing the inspection. Let me know what happens.
