I was cleaning my IAC and dropped it in some water. It was in the water for about 30 seconds and was wanting to know if it would be okay to use it or do I need to get a new one?

Hi,

Chances are it needs to be replaced. However, if you want to retry it, I would allow it to sit for a few days to fully dry. If there is moisture on any of the internal electronics, it could cause it to short and fail.

If you look below, I included the directions for the removal and replacement of the IAC. I'm just adding in the event you needed them.

Let me know if I can help in any way.

Take care,

Joe
