Cleaned throttle body and now it seems like it is revving on its own

My rpm's in park is like going from 1,000 to 2,000 like it is revving by itself. I tried to do like a manual procedure but the ones I found were wrong. I did notice when I turn the engine on right away the cooling fans turn on. I do not know if that it is bothering the relearn or what. Should I just pull out the fuse or will that have no effect?

If you just cleaned the throtle then you will need to do a idle relearn. It is easier using an advance diagnostic scan tool. If you do not have one you can try to do it mnually.

Start the vehicle and let it get warmed up. Once at operating temperature disconnect number one fuel injector until idle drops rpm down. You can disconnect up to two fuel injectors. Do note disconnect the coils or you can damage the catalyst from too much unburn fuel been dumped.

Once idle drops down, turn vehicle off and reconnect injectors. Start it back up and let it idle for ten seconds and rev up the engine twice. If rpm is normal clear trouble codes set during injector disconnection.

Good luck with the procedure and let us know if it works out. You may need to do the procedure twice if it does not work the first time.
