I am trying to change the EGR Valve and I can not get to the bottom bolt on the valve. I am woundering if I have to take the Alternator off or not to finish this or is there another way to get to the bottome bolt?

No. Once you get the top bolt off, twist on the egr valve to be able to get to the other bolt.
