I have a Body Control Module that every few days registers a # Left Unlock Output Failure #. Sometimes it registers one for the right side. At that point, door locks cease to operate. Following service procedures, the door lock circuit tests ok, so procedures call for replacing the BCM. Can this problem be corrected by 1) having the current BCM reprogrammed? 2) Replacing with a used BCM of the same ID? 3) Replacing with a used BCM but having it reprogrammed?

That is hard to say, sometimes they have an updated part that is a little different besides the programming inside it. You could try having it "flashed" or reprogrammed to see if it works, but without knowing exactly what the update is, it is hard to say. Usually if it is a reprogramming problem, they say to have it reprogrammed instead of replacing it
