First thebattery light would come on once in a while, overcharge then tuen off the car re-start it nad would charge normally. Today it would not charge, now after charging the battery twhen you turn on the car to start it, the head lights come on and the car will not start. Turns over, but will not start.

First, have the alternator tested. It sounds like you have a bad voltage regulator. Now for the no start condition. Have you checked to make sure you are getting spark and fuel to the engine?

Let me know what you find.
