2002 Chrysler Town and Country 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

when changing the cabin filter there is an oil like substance in the cap when removed. Any idea?

Hi: I wouldn't be too concerned about it. When the fan is running, it will draw anything into it. Just wipe it out so you start fresh each time.
