2002 Chrysler Town and Country hard steering

Sometimes it is difficult to turn the steering wheel when our van has just been started and is cold. It is difficult to the point that when it happens you cannot steer it. It seems like once it is warmed up a little the problem goes away. Don't know if this is the power steering pump or steering gear. Any ideas would be appreciated

Hello

I have attached the troubleshooting chart for your review. You would be able to check the first several items. However, it appears that you would need a tester for 7 on. Which means dealer. Sorry, probably not what you wanted to hear.

My suggestion is check the items you can. Then at least the dealer must give you an estimate before any repairs.
