Electrical problem
2001 Chrysler Town and Country 6 cyl Automatic 85000 miles

Lights and Gauges on 2001 Chrysler town and country flickered on and off for about 2 weeks after 10 minutes of driving. Now they are completely off. Don't know how fast we are going or how much gas we have, never mind the Tach or temperature gauge. EVERYTHING else works. Any help is appreciated.

Hi:
First, it sounds like a body control module (BCM). Try disconnecting the battery for 5+ minutes and then replace. This should reset the module. If it doesn't work, you will need to have a mechanic with the proper test equipment check it.

I have checked every fuse, unplugged the car for over an hour, unhooked the computer, tried about everything shy of checking under the dash board or taking it to a mechanic. I would think that if the computer was going bad it would affect more than just the dash gauges and lights. I guess I am just hoping to not have to do that big of a repair.

Hi again:

If the BCM didn't reset, you will need to have it checked by a mechanic that has the proper test equipment.
