I wasted coffee near my radio while driving (some of it got into the CD player). About 5 minutes later I shut the van down for about 20 minutes, when I tried to restart my van, it would start, then cut off. I did that about 5 times, then, it wouldn't start at all. And also, the light on the dashboard are out. The lights on the clock work and the headlights work. What could the problem be?

Hello -

Please let me know if you have a Town & Country LWB FWD or SWB FWD and the engine size in liter with the 8th digit of your VIN.

Also, is this a EX, Limited, LX or LXI edition.

Next, please go to Auto Zone (AZ) or O'Reilly's (OR) and for FREE they can pull the codes to the car. Most important: Once they check your codes, if they find something and you don't get it fixed and need to get back with us, please make sure you tell us exactly what the code was, number and all. Example, if the code was E0568 O2 Sensor bad. Then make sure you give us all of that. While there for FREE also they can bring their tester out and check your battery, alternator and starter. If it is not drivable, use the tool check out from AZ and check out the scanner to get your codes.

When you say won't start - do you mean when you turn the key to start the motor turns at normal speed but never fires off?

When it cut off - was that coming to a stop... Just sitting idling, or while you were driving?

When was the last time you had a tune up?

I know you are probably saying what does that have to do with the coffee, well, maybe nothing but the coffee may have nothing to do with the starting but something to do with the dash. You may have a couple of problems.

I hope you and your family had a nice Thanksgiving
