When I hit the accerlator on my 99 Chrysler Town and Country their is very minimal pick up you have to ease into it. Also yesterday while I was driving I stopped and then went to start driving got a loud pop noise from the driver's side front end and lost pressure on the accelerator. I put my foot back on the gas and got two more loud pop noise like a pop gun and smelled like one too. Then it started accelerating fine. My cars brake were stopping fine, and driving fine. I do have to get the front end alignment fixed since its shaking.

Usually when this happens, it is an indication of air intake restriction, so I would like you to check the airbox, and change the airfilter, check the large hose, sometimes called the "accordian turbe" that connects the airbox to the throttle body, for holes, or cracks, and get back to me with your findings

Does it help if I tell you that when I'm at a stop or starting to accelerate there's hesitation and shaking. I'm taking my car Monday to the dealership where I bought it and getting the dash cluster replaced b/c my dashboard doesn't work. And I can't take it to get anything else done on it b/c they say the dash cluster is part of the master computer so nothing will compute at a diagnostic test. Thank you for your help greatly appreciateed

The shaking can be several things, one being the torque converter clutch solenoid. And egr valve.
