1997 Chrysler Town and Country 6 cyl All Wheel Drive Automatic 225k miles

Will a 2001 T&C 3.8 transmission fit a 1997 T&C 3.8?
The AWD Diff and extension housing is different but will it work internally if those parts are replaced?

The internal parts are the same, but mounting and electronics are different. I suggest calling a big junkyard and asking them if it will work, they have programs that tells what fits in what.
