Towed vehicle to with starting problem local franchised tune up shop and requested diagnostics on non functioning front blower motor and control for interior lights. Shop did diags, replaced battery, and reported need for a new blower motor and headlight/dimmer switch module. When van received back radio will not turn on, flashing lights on control buttons for A/C on off, A\C rear front recirculatiion, rear wiper on/off, and rear wiper delay. Replaced front blower motor. Flashing lights still come on but turn off after several minutes of drive time and then solid light for selected button only shows. Front blower motor will only run on high speed. I assume that the blower motor resistor needs to be replaced. Can you inform us if this assumption is correct and the location of the blower motor resistor? A location diagram would be appreciated if possible.

Thank You,

Thank you for the donation

The blower motor resistor job is to control the speed of the blower motor thru resistances in the resistor pack-what's going on here is that the Hi position is bypassing the resistor and full battery voltage is being applied at Hi position causing the blower to throw everything its got.

Its located in the right rear of engine compartment-see pic

Unplug the resister wiring connecter then remove the 2or3 small small bolts that hold it in the a/c case. Being mounted in the a/c case keeps it cool and working. Not sure on the bolt size but its a 7mm on most cars. Just remove the bolts pull it out then insert the new one and resecure. Ty for using 2 carpros and please try and donate. Ty
