My question is, I recently purchased a 2004 Chrysler Sebring. Its a V6 and within 1hr of purchase I noticed a whine or hum while driving between 60-100km/hr. Its a really loud whine and it rather annoying while driving. If I fluxuate the gas peddle, the whine noise changes and if I have it in just the right position the whine goes away completly until I move the gas peddle to speed up or down. It does not make any noise below 60km/hr or above 100km/hr

Suggestions?

Without personally listening to the noise, it is hard to diagnose any noise problem. If you just purchased the vehicle, I would take it back and get the salesperson sit in the vehicle for a drive. Then you can show him the exact noise.

Can you tell if it is electrical or mechanical whine? They both will fluctuate with rpm difference.
