2003 Chrysler Sebring need help

2.7 liter dual over head cam flex fuel (t) runs great but some times when I come to a stop the oil light will come on and the engine rattles from the top end and then stop and run fine it is getting worse. When I first start it it chatters then quits. I assume the oil pump is going out! Any comments or ideas would be great

110,000 is a lot for this engine. Sludge forms in the oil if it isn't changed at exactly 3,000 miles. You could try a chemical flushing agent in the oil just before the next oil change, but chances are it's time for an engine rebuild.
