My transmission is giving me some trouble, when I change gears from reverse to drive or vice versa there is a delay but when I move the gear shift then it will go in gear. I checked my fluid and its a dark brown and it looks really low with the car off. When I turn on my car it looks full but the color and its still dark brown, i've had the car for 3 years and it has 120,000 miles on it if I get the fluid flushed will that fix the problem?
thanks in advance

THe transmission should be serviced if it is brown in color. As far as the fluid, check it with the engine running, hot, and in park. Trans fluid expands when it gets hot. That is why it looks low with the engine off and cold.

Try the service and see if it helps. If it doesn't let me know and we'll move on. Regardless, if it is brown, it needs serviced. If you do it yourself, make sure to use the correct type of ATF.

Let me know how you make out with this.

Joe
