2002 Sebring power window

I have a 2002 Sebring and the power window on the front drivers door just stopped working the other day. It began again, hasn't worked for 3 days and then again worked down and up once today, but to this point won't work. I've checked all the fuses, but none of those are bad. Any idea what the problem is? It is a 2002 Chrysler Sebring LX 89763 mileage.

It has a rubber connection covering what I believe is wiring between the body and the door. When it doesn't work which is most the time no sound at all is heard, just the click of the button. When it does work, it works just as it is supposed to. There are no metal contact points that I can see.
