Engine problem
2002 Chrysler Sebring V6 Front Wheel Drive Automatic 105000 miles

My car has recently started making a knocking sound when I first start it. It seems to do it when it is cold outside. I have also noticed that it will stop knocking after the engine warms up a tad. Are there any suggestions to the cause of this? Please feel free to ask any questions to gain more information you feel thats needed to diagnose this.

Usually when an engine knocks cold, it knocks hot too, just may be a bit quiter, due to better oiling. And it's usually at one end of a piston or the other, wrist pin at the top, connecting rod bearing at the bottom. Only way to repair it is to rebuild engine.

If You use a good oil, maybe a synthetic, you can get many mor miles on this engine, just try to take off easy, not gunnin it!
