This car has been sitting for about a year.I bought a brand titanium battery for it got it started once.I tried to start it after that but no luck. It is making the normal starting noise but cant turnover. The new battery has died. Do you think I need a new alternator? I was thinking that it must not be charging the battery thats why the new one died so fast. What do you think. Thanks for all help.

No you don't need a new alternator. Alternator is only needed once the engine is running.

Have you been trying to crank, and crank, and crank, and crank, and crank, and crank with the new battery? If you have, it possibly just out of juice and need to be recharged.

The minute a vehicle does not start, always start with the two main things that make an engine ticks: Do you have fuel? Do you have spark?

Perform this diagnostic.
