2000 Chrysler Sebring V6 Front Wheel Drive Automatic 55000 miles

My compass only says I'm either going S or SE. How do I reset the compass?

Go in an empty parkng lot, stop in middle press both buttons on either side of display (this will reset for calibration)drive slowly in a complete circle, try going in both directions clockwise first if that dont do it try counter-clockwise let me know how you make out
