My sebring coupe lxi v6. Came with two positive battery cables attached to the battery. One is the normal cable and the other one is big and. It is white and black. Mine is fry'd and the wire instulation is melted and looks fluffy. It definately looks like a stock cable. What is this cable and where can I get a new one? Is it hard to replace? Thank you for all your help I really appreciate any help.

That goes to the starter. It goes into wire looms and all, but you can just get a new cable from any auto parts store (they should have the ability to check the length you need) and just bypass the melted wire.

So just cut the bad part off and connect the new one to the old?

Yup. This particular cable connector is available at CSK/O'Reilly part number LCS100. Autozone has the same part.

Ight so I got that wire but just wondering. The small wire that is there. Do I have to run a ground from that wire to something?

If you can attach both original cables into the screwed end, you don't need the small wire with yellow end. Just take some black tape and wrap it. Oh BTW, that is not ground.
