Hi my name is Bree and I have a 1998 Chrysler sebring convertible. It's the 6 cylinder model. My husband and I had been driving the car a couple days ago and we came home for about 2 hours and when we went to leave the car would not start. The battery is working fine. All the light and everything work, but when you turn the key nothing happens, but the lights. It doesn't make any noise at all and when you turn the key it doesn't even make the clicking noise. We think it is the starter, but if anyone thinks that it is something else please let me know. My question is that we have both looked at the car and have had a couple friends also look and none of us can locate the starter. So I need to know the exact location of our starter on that particular model. Please help me and let me know A.S.A.P. Thanks

Are you sure you hear nothing when you try and turn it on? Turn you key to the on position, the click right before it would try and turn over. You should hear a humming noise, if you don't your fuel pump needs to be replaced if you do hear it then you need your starter replaced, Not sure on the location but I will look into it.

Becareful on condemning the starter, may be in the ignition switch as well. A no crank condition as you describe often leads to a starter. This is not a do-it-yourself starter job. It may be pricey, but not worth sacrificing your sanity.
