Service engine light came on, car runs great will not pass inspection with light on.
Key click test shows - 12 (recently changed battery), 33, 43, then closes with the end 55 code.
Please let me know what the possible cause is or where I can troubleshoot this online.

Hi Norty,

Here are the code meanings. However I would recommend going by your local auto parts store and have them pull the "PO***" codes and post them.

12 Battery or computer recently disconnected (will occur on most cars most of the time, it indicates a low / missing battery happened in the last 50 key starts. Don't worry about it.

33 Air conditioning clutch relay circuit open or shorted (may be in the wide-open-throttle cutoff circuit)

43 Peak primary coil current not achieved with max dwell time
OR
43 Cylinder misfire
OR
43 Problem in power module to logic module interface

55 End of codes

That is a little disturbing on the 43 code, we just had the timing belt changed less than a week before, due to mileage. Though it is running great, and did bring it to a great shop ( a little to involved for me), I hope it is not a timing issue!
Thanks again for the VERY QUICK RESPONSE! This a great website!
