1996 Chrysler Sebring ticking behind dash

Just replaced fuel pump assy. /Battery died while sitting/ jumped from battery on cables without other vehicle / no go/ came back to find a loud ticking inside the dash ( apparantly) /audible from inside car only /dissapears when key is turned to start position reappears when key is in off position

I had a similar problem to yours, keep in mind I have a 2004 Sebring Limited 3.0L V6. I was driving my car and I parked, turned it off and heard a clicking noise close to my dash. I figured that it was a fuse or something like that but apparently my car alarm went off at some point and it had drained the battery to where all it could do is click. I replaced the battery and everything was fine.
