Engine Cooling problem
1996 Chrysler Sebring 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 130000 miles

I was wondering were the location is for a thermostat. I replace them years ago when I was younger and now forgot.
I bought a new one and before disconnecting any hose I was not sure if it was under where you add the coolant or water or if it was in the hose.

Thank You, Dana

The engine thermostat is located in the thermostat housing, located below the throttle body.

Drain cooling system to the thermostat level or below.
Remove inlet hose and coolant elbow from thermostat housing.
Remove thermostat assembly, and clean sealing surfaces.

Install thermostat into the recess in the thermostat housing.
Install inlet elbow and tighten the bolts to 12 Nm (133 inch lbs ).
Fill cooling system.
