Hi, I discoverd bare wires on the pigtail of the #6 fuel injector. I stupidly ignored this at one point. Later when doing some work, I must have made them touch. This caused the injector to leak. I tested the resistance on this injector and it is fine, however, the resistance on the circuit (probes connected to the pigtail connector) is 39, while the others read 598. When crossing with the connectors on the other injector pigtails, I determine that the fault is within the wire that goes to the PCM. The book suggests that the PCM may be faulty. The ODBII code points to the TCP. I would just buy a TCP, but it requires being reset by a scan tool. Does anyone actually think the TCP is at fault? I agree with the book by thinking it is the PCM.
