My Chrysler Sebring is stalling randomly. What I mean is sometime it stalls when cold, sometime it stalls when hot. Sometimes it will run for days in a row without stalling. There doesn't seem to be any pattern. It only stalls when idling, either in park or at a light and it stalls without warning. The car doesn't sputter, it just shuts off like someone turns the key off. Any suggestions what to check would be greatly appreciated.

Joe,

The warning lights all come on after the car stalls, like when you turn the key to the on position, but the check engine light has not come on while the car is running.

Thanks,
Todd

I would still take the car to a nationally recognized parts store and have them scan the computer for codes. They may find nothing, or there may be a code stored. Most don't charge for the service, so it doesn't hurt if they find nothing.

Without the codes, it becomes a guessing game. Let me know what you find.

Joe,

I took the car to a trusted repair shop, they didn't say what codes they were getting, but they replaced the EGR valve, & the Air Temperature Sensor. The car ran fine for a day, and now it is stalling again. I'll be taking the car back in again.
