Our engine light came on and the computer registered P000B - 'B' Camshaft Position Slow Response Bank 1. I purchased the part at AutoZone, and they said it's not a difficult fix. However, I don't know the steps in doing it. Can you help me, please? Thank you!

Hi,

There are 4 different camshaft position sensors on the front of the engine, mounted to the valve covers. I attached a pic below showing the one related to the code you have. It is bank 1 sensor 2.

This is easy to replace. First, disconnect the connector at the sensor and then there are (I think) three 10mm bolts that you remove. Once they are removed, gently remove the sensor. There will be an o-ring on it. Make sure to be careful installing the new one. Lubricate it with motor oil first and then install it. That helps prevent damage to the o-ring.

Let me know if this helps or if you have other questions.

Take care,

Joe
