I have replaced the fuel pump and then it worked for a couple of days. Then I replaced the fuel pump and it worked for one day. I have tried the safety mechanism start, it only worked righ tafter the maintenance. The fuel pump kicks on, the belts are turning, but it sounds like no fuel is getting to the engine. Ive been told to check the fuel regulator. Where is that? Is it a computer problem? A sensor? A relay?

Welcome to the forum, if it cranks good but won't start, have a helper crank it, while you visually check for spark at the plugs. If you have spark everywhere, use a gage and check fuel pressure. If you don't have a gage, some of the national brand autostores will loan out a gage, you may have to put up a deposit. Did you try checking for trouble codes?

Cycle the ignition, just till the dash lites come on, no further. On--off, on--off, on, then the check engine lite starts flashing, you count the flashes to get the codes. Your looking for 2 digit codes. As an example, a code 24 would be two quick flashes, slight pause, 4 quick flashes. Between codes, there should be a longer pause.

If I read that correctly, a code 12 means the battery has been disconnected sometime in the past so many starts. A code 55 means end of message. Wasn't much help. What is litre size of engine? Did you visually check for spark at the plugs, engine cranking?
