Engine Performance problem
1994 Chrysler New Yorker 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

Holy cow. I have run the gamit with this car and I am at a dead end. I just paid $250.00 and my car still only worked for 3 days and then wont start. We have replaced the cam sensor, the timing belt, the fuel filter, and fuel pump. I think the security feature is not working, but no one will listen to me. Is there something else? We have tested the fuel pressure and it its within proper levels. The only code I get is for a battery. But everyone says that the battery is fine.

If the anti-theft system is the problem, the engine will start and run for two seconds. That leaves out the camshaft and crankshaft position sensors, and the timing belt. Well, and the fuel pump too.

Other than the diesel trucks, you will never solve a running problem on a Chrysler product by replacing the fuel filter.

What was the previous problem? Is it related to the current problem? Did you check for spark AND fuel during cranking? What led you to all these parts? Every time you replace something, you add another variable, or potential problem.
