Smells problem
1993 Chrysler New Yorker

I smell exhaust fumes through the air vents when I run the car. It doesn't matter if I have the AC on or just the fan, or nothing at all, the fumes still come through. And when I stop the car and get out, I smell exhaust fumes from under the hood, but not from the tailpipe.

Also, my car is having trouble starting. It won't turn over on the first attempt, but will on the second attempt.

Does this sound like an exhaust leak? And if so, how much should I expect to pay to repair the problem at a garage?

The exhaust leak price depends on the problem. Ifit is justa gasket(one side) then you should be able to get out for under $200, if themanifold is cracked or other damage to tehexhaust price will go up from there. The starting may be a bad starter if it wont turn the first try but will the second. Does it even click on first try?
