1991 Chrysler New Yorker windshield wipers

1991 Chrysler New Yorker 4 cyl 163650 miles

I have a 1991 New Yorker that was given to me, as a back up car.
The problem is that the wipers dont work, I can hear the wiper motor, but the wipers themselves dont move
Any ideas?

Hi:

If you hear the motor running, the linkage must be detached. To get to it, you will need to remove the cowl (at the bottom of the windshield exterior). To remove it, open the hood and you'll see the screws that hold it in place.
