The seatbelt light switch is in the seatbelt. Check to see if it is loose, broken.

Turns out it was my MAP sensor, once I replaced it all the idiot lights went out and the door locks resumed proper function as well.

I'm glad that you found the problem. However, I never heard of the MAP sensor causing problems with locks. Regardless, good luck.

The doors locks which automatically lock when you are inside the car..lock at 17 miles per hr., however at this time the door locks would lock immediately upon starting the car, the seat belt light came on and stayed on, other gauges went haywire at same time, then slowly the car would take longer to start till one day it wouldnt start and ran very rough when i finally did start it. I replaced the map sensor and ALL of the problems ceased. So I learned the MAP sensor affects alot of little things in the dash and the car, it shouldnt have been tat way but it was. This version NewYorker was one of the few demo-models that was made.
