Air Conditioning problem
2000 Chrysler LHS 6 cyl Automatic 163477 miles

Whenever I turn on my air conditioning, my car makes a really loud squeaking/screeching noise. I went to a shop, and they put in a new belt (a universal one) and it still makes that noise. It only does it when the AC is on. What's wrong?

Sounds like the bearings in the compressor are no good anylonger, YOu can try shooting some PAG oil into the system, (you can do yourself) and see how it does, otherwise a new compressor is in order
