Over the last week my car has had problems starting.
When I get in and put the key in the ignition and turn it, it appears as though the battery is dead. The Oil light is the only light that comes on. If I just leave the key in I will start hearing a clicking sound from the steering column. The clicking gets faster and faster then if I turn the key, all the lights come on and the engine turns over and starts just fine. **(One note, when it does start all of the settings are lost for the Thermostat, seat memory and radio.)
After it is started I can run about on errands and it will start without incident. It seems the problem only happens when the car has sat for a while.
My concern is that this is a problem that will continue to get worse.
I do live in Wisconsin and this problem showed up in the last week as the temps have dropped.
