Electrical problem
1997 Chrysler LHS 6 cyl Automatic

Last night I went out to my car to crank it up, and it wouldn't turn at all. The lights inside were dead, no radio, and no headlights. So I get a jump and as soon as the cables are connected the lights came and I was able to crank it straight up and drive to the gas station two minutes from my house. I went inside the gas station and came out and had the same problem. It wouldnt turn at all and no lights, radio, etc. So I get another jump and it crunk straight up again. But this time as I was driving home my headlights, and inside lights were steadily flashing, and the radio was cutting on and off. When I got back home and put in park, I let it run for a minute(literally) and the flashing kept getting worse. I tapped the gas a little, and the next thing you know my headlights shorted out and my speakers started popping. At this point I cut off the car and went inside. The next day same news, the car wouldn't crank and I couldn't get the lights to tum on. So bottom line is it wont crank at all, shorted out my headlights, and probably blew out some of my speakers. Sorry this was a long winded question, but it was necessary. What is wrong with this car!

Welcome to the forum. I'd make sure the battery has a full charge and the connections are good. Next, if if the starter won't crank, I'd check the starter relay circuits, under hood fuse box. With the relay unplugged, use testlite, two hot terminals with key in the start position.

Thank you for replying to my question, turns out that the battery just lost charge, and I just had to replace the bulbs in the headlights. Thanks for the advice!
