Was driving yesterday and car died on me. Tried to restart it and it wouldn't start. Tried again and it started and I drove about 10 miles before it stalled on me again. Checked for fuel got it coming out of filter but wasn't very strong could stop the flow with my finger. Bought new fuel pump installled car wouldn't start I could get it to fire up and run if I reved the engine but then it would just die out like it was running out of gas. Then all of a sudden about an hour later it fired upo and Idled and kept running drove it arounfor about 5 miles no problems. Then today started with no problem drove it about a half mile and it died and is now not starting. New fuel pump, new fuel filter and new air filter. New plugs and wires. The pcm and coil pack have less than 20000 miles on them. Any thoughts. Fuel relay is good. Maybe fuel pressure regulator and how do you test it?

Hmm, sounds like a possible issue with the wiring, maybe damaged harness/relay. Would check that.

Heres how to check fuel pressure.

Remove protective cap off of the fuel pressure test port, passanger side of fuel rail above thermostat housing.

Next attach fuel pressure tester and scan tool to obd attachment port.

Turn ignition on and activate asd fuel pressure test, next compare pressure to specifications, if good remove tool and your good to go.

If no pressure is present check the fuel pump wiring harness and fuel relay.

Let me know if its over specs or under, or none at all.

Engine off, ignition on fuel pump activate with scan tool should be 40psi.
Engine running pressure should be 39 with vaccum line on.
Engine running pressure no vaccum should be 48.
