Drain the fuel tank safely into a proper safe storage container. Before you start, disconnect the batt. Neg. Cable and depressurize the fuel system by releasing the pressure slowly at the schrader valve service port, or any fuel line connection. Wear safety glasses. Know where a fire extinguisher is. Lower the fuel tank enough so you can disconnect the fuel and electrical connections. You will probably be better off unscrewing the filler tube 3 screws that hold it on where you fill the gas. Using a hammer and a brass drift punch, tap the locking ring counter clockwise to unlock it and pull it off. Remove the pump. It's not that easy to work it out but it is done like that all the time. Also replace the fuel filter and pump strainer called a sock sometimes. Reverse to install. It is a dangerous job and should be performed in a shop equipped for fuel transfer. Don't use the old pump to drain the tank unless you must. Nice car. Good luck.
