I have a 85 Lebaron convertible with the 2.2 turbo engine and noticed gas dripping while the engine was running at idle, could not see at the time where it was coming from. This morning started it again and let idle for 15+ mins with no sign of leak. I did notice that the undercoat was washed clean on the rear cross sway bar at the very center, so it appears this has been going on for quite some time. The hoses and clamps seem fine. I am not sure what to look for as it does not seem to happen all the time?

Hi gary5740, welcome to 2carpros and TY for the donation

What you can do here -is you can bring it in to a shop that do emission testing and have them sniff the area out where you assumed its leaking, it can locate the leak area-also be advised you're in a dangerous situation if it decides to leak again

No one does emission testing in Michigan. I was hoping for more information than this. I have been under the car and stated it only leaks when it is running, so under fuel pump pressure. The lines are not cracked and it does not do it all the time. I have not twisted wrenches for a while but my guess is either electric fuel pump problem or pressure regulator remember it is an intermittent problem.

Thank You
