My battery went dead. I was able to jump start the car and let the jumper cables stay on for about 10 minutes while both cars are running. When I disconneted the jumper cables, the car shut off. Is this a battery problem or something else?

Your alternator is not keeping the supply of electricity to the vehicle. As the vehicle won't run once the jumper cables removed, you need to remove the alternator out of the vehicle and have it tested.
