Hi guys, my question is as follows. I replaced the water pump and timing belt on my car, buttoned her up and tried starting it. The car will crank but wont start. A friend said I might have gotten the crank position sensor wet, but I think its the timing. Please share your thoughts with me before I get my shotgun and do something rash. Thank You very much.

Hi:
Put the shotgun away. LOL I need you to check if the engine is getting spark and fuel. If the crank sensor is the problem, you won't get spark. If there is no fuel, that will be the problem. If you have both, we may need to recheck the timing.

Let me know what you find, and we'll go from there.

Joe
