1999 Chrysler Concorde car knocks

I was on my way home with a half tank a gas an my car started ating as if I was going to run out when I got home I turned the car off and it started right up I check the oil and it was empty so I put some oil in and right after I put the oil in the car started making a loud knock it runs really well still it doesn't over heat no lights are on do you know what kind of problem I could be facing oh and my pcv valve was broken

Hi:

It's most likely a rod bearing, main bearing, cam bearing. Something was starved for oil and has been damaged. Because I'm not there to hear it, I recommend you allow a mechanic listen to it. He / she will most likely be able to give you an idea of what bearing it is based on it's sound.
