Ok my car recently has been overheating. It never has had a problem before but it SUDDENLY I mean within 5 miles went from 1/4thw ay on gauge which is normal to red line hot. I let it cool down etc and changed out the thermostat. It still continued to overheat and I took it to a shop. They said it was only air in teh lines and flushed them at about 160k now 500 miles later it is again overheating and boiling the antifreeze out the overflow hose and filling with steam in the hoses. When it does so I also lose all heat in my car. While moving ti overheats, but when idleing it wont. I am dumbfounded and am hoping it to be an easy fix

It doesn't leak any fluid though that I can see but it creates bubbles in my reserve tank and the upper hose fills with what I believe is steam

You may not see the leak
need to do a block pressure test
what you describe is an indication of low coolant
losing coolant some where and pressure test should indicate the leak
and or headgasket test

good luck
