While driving along engine will shut off without any warning or engine light sometime it will restart without any waiting other time have to wait

What else happens? Do the dash gauges quit? Does the radio quit? What about the heater fan?

If all these things quit at the same time, suspect burned contacts in the ignition switch or overheated connector terminals. If just the engine dies, suspect an intermittent camshaft position sensor, but you should have seen the "Check Engine" light come on.
