According to the manual it is a easy replacement but you have to never touch the connector pins with your hands or anything metal. Static electricity will damage your new module. If you can attach a bare copper wire to your wrist and to the body of the car while installing this module that ensures you are grounded. Disconnect the negative battery cable from the ground stud. The pcm is mounted to a bracket between the air filter housing and the power distribution center(under hood fuse box) disconnect both 40 pin connectors from the pcm. Remove mounting screws and withdraw from engine. Install in reverse order and remember do not touch the pins on the module itself with anything but the connector.

Disconnect the battery, remove the PCM, and replace it in the reverse order.

After everything is reconnected, reconnect the battery.
