I went to start the car and it cranked but would not start. Local shop told me distributor was bad and replaced it. Still no luck. Then the computer needed to be replaced. It was replaced and drove it off and it died within 3 blocks. Repair shop came and got it. Computer they put in was bad so they replaced. That was a couple of years ago. Ever since it has had trouble codes. Most common is random misfire. Usually it will also give a code for a misfire in a specific cylinder. It only happens at highway speeds. Clear the codes and at city speeds no light. Hit highway speeds and within a matter of minutes light comes on. Also, started giving door ajar warning randomly. The chime sounds and the interior light somes on as if the door is open but it is not open. Also, started locking the doors automatically when the door chime is going off. Usually will do it several times randomly.

Has it been tuned up with OEM parts? You should be on your second tune up by that mileage. They usually dont set misfire codes unless it is missing. The interior light sounds like a bad pin switch for the door, most likely the drivers door since it gets the most use.
