Transmission problem
1995 Chrysler Cirrus 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

my transmission works sometimes and sticks in limp mode. Guages will drop slightly and no bus connection

2 things to do. First, replace the input and output sensors. They are located on top of the transmission. Should cost you about $20 each from most parts store, or about $60 each from the dealer.

If that does not solve it, you have to replace the TCM (transmission control module). Dealer will charge you about $180 for reman or about $400 for new. I suggest the wrecking yard, should cost you around $75. But make sure you match the numbers on the new TCM with your old one. Otherwise, it will not work.
